"Centered
Riding" by Sally Swift
Reviewed by SHNZ
A fascinating book
explaining a unique way to view balance when riding through an understanding
of human and horse skeletal and muscle system, alongside the use of powerful
mental images.
Sally Swift stands
out as a pioneer in teaching that by gaining a psychological understanding
of the physical movements we are about to ride, then forming a mental
picture prior to attempting the movement, has an astonding effect on how
successfully we can execute it.
This book would be
extremely valuable for riders and instructors of all disciplines at all
levels.
The techniques shown
in "Centered Riding" can instigate a breakthrough in communication
as a riders mental conception of what is being asked influences their
body to acheive the goal with ease. A remarkable book providing ongoing
insight and assistance to all riders and trainers.
